I had an excellent experience hiring a car from Hertz. My incoming flight was cancelled and my arrival time was delayed until 8pm (Hertz closing time). Fortunately for me I was able to speak to Patrick at the hertz rental desk and I was able to inform him of my delay, he went above and beyond to make sure I got my hire car. Brooke and Pam are ABSOLUTE ANGELS and should really be running the world. We had the absolute best experience with them and without a doubt will rent from Hertz in the future because of them. If I could give them 10 stars I would. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we had a reservation with another company. Due to the car being damaged upon return, the other company could not give us the car we reserved (or any other car for that matter) so we ended up waiting for over an hour in the car rental terminal with the hopes that eventually another car would show up or that the damaged car would become drive-able. The original company did basically nothing to help us even though we had a reservation with them. Normally, this wouldn’t be a problem but we had arrived specifically to tour wedding venues and were booked fully with appointments throughout the day so we simply could not wait and hope for the best. Thankfully Brooke was available because she took our situation personally and MADE IT HAPPEN for us. She was actively calling other personnel on site to see what was available and kept us updated on everything that was happening the entire time. This was incredible because at that point, we weren’t even Hertz customers and felt so taken care of. Within about 30 minutes, she had phoned Pam, and together they found us a car - got us checked in - explained the process - and even gave us an upgrade! She was so knowledgeable and transparent about every single step she was taking to help us, and we ended up making our first wedding appointment just before the venue closed, and it was only because of Brooke and Pam! We also got the opportunity to say goodbye when we checked in the car, and that was easy and without incident as well. Top marks all the way around. Thank you for your excellent customer service. We got to Hertz after a very long delay to our flight and a rough time in the air, so we were really keen to get on the road and make it to our final destination as soon as possible. We were met by Patrick behind the desk and he instantly perked us right up with his friendly demeanor and light professional banter. You could tell he has fun working there and really enjoys speaking to all the different travellers coming through. As he checked on all the details, we talked about where we were headed and what sights to see when we arrived. Given that it was our first time with an electric car, Patrick took extra time to point out the charging method, how we could charge when we are out, and that it was totally okay to return with less charge than we borrowed with. I’m really thankful for that last bit because it ended up taking us a few tries before getting the hang of it. He also talked to us about the model of the car and different features we might enjoy. He made such a good impression that I nearly left a review after arriving at our destination, but decided to hold off until we made it back home.
